These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Aman (the "Service"). By creating an account or using Aman, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Aman. If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your password confidential, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use any data shown on the map — especially sex offender registry data — to harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate against any person;
• Submit false, misleading, or malicious community incident reports;
• Scrape, bulk-export, reverse engineer, or use automated means to extract data from the Service beyond normal, individual browsing;
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems; or
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

4. Community Incident Reports

Incident reports are submitted by users and reviewed before they appear publicly on the map. Aman does not independently verify the accuracy of user-submitted reports and is not responsible for their content. Report any report you believe is false or abusive using the in-app reporting tools; we may remove content and suspend accounts that misuse this feature.

5. Third-Party and Registry Data — Special Terms

Much of what Aman displays — crime data, missing-person alerts, emergency declarations, and sex offender registry information — originates from third-party government, nonprofit, or licensed-vendor sources, not from Aman itself. Aman acts as a technology intermediary that displays this public information on a map; it is not the source of record for any of it, and an official government source always controls if the two ever disagree.

Sex offender registry data specifically is public record, shown for community-safety purposes only. It is not a background check or consumer report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act or any similar state law, and must not be used as the sole basis for any housing, employment, credit, insurance, or other decision about any person. Using this information to harass, threaten, stalk, or unlawfully discriminate against a registered person is illegal under federal and/or state law and can carry civil or criminal penalties. You are solely responsible for how you use any information displayed by the Service.

6. Not Emergency or Professional Services

Aman is an informational tool, not an emergency service. If you are in danger or believe a crime is in progress, call 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately — do not rely on Aman. Nothing on the Service constitutes legal, safety, investigative, or professional advice of any kind.

7. Intellectual Property

Aman's branding, design, and original content are owned by Aman or its licensors. By submitting an incident report or other content, you grant Aman a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content within the Service for its intended community-safety purpose. You retain ownership of what you submit.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL DATA DISPLAYED ON IT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. AMAN DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY THIRD-PARTY DATA IT DISPLAYS IS CURRENT OR ACCURATE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AMAN AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON ANY DATA IT DISPLAYS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Aman harmless from any claim arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your use of any data displayed by the Service to harm another person.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the Service itself.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, unless applicable local law requires otherwise.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; the effective date above will change, and if a revision is material, you will be asked to accept it again before continuing to use Aman.
